A 1920’s rare Qum or Bidjar rug of rich yellow-ochre ground with deep emerald green guarding to the perimeter. The central ground featuring hunters on horseback catching their prey amongst foliates and foliage. The borders containing further animal ornaments and foliates. Surface wear in some areas but generally good. A few ‘white knot’ spots, which would have been where the weavers thread broke and they started afresh. Signed in the border by the master weaver.
