Attractive two part 19th century military or naval campaign chest. Deep rich tone to the camphor wood, with brass banding to corner. Gorgeous recessed circular handles, mahogany drawer linings and original turned feet and back. Drawers operate smoothly. A plaque affixed to the underside of the top chest, and the inscription ‘McConnel’. Top historically adjusted. A good piece, these always evoke a sense of history and many stories of travel.
