A set of five 19th century aquatints, after Henry Alken (1785-1851). ‘The Grand Leicestershire Steeplechase’. Plate numbers 1,2,3,7&8 from the series of aquatints by Charles Bentley, with hand colouring and published by R. Ackerman around 1830 in reeded ebonised frames, under glass and varnished. Scuffs to frame in places, some discolouration. A good set, well produced.
