An extremely beautiful and difficult to find antique Tabriz room size carpet, in a very unusual ochre colourway, dating to the 1920’s. Characterised by the central medallion surrounded by intricate floral and geometric patterns, this Tabriz is an example of the fine workmanship coupled with good quality materials associated with rugs from this region of Iran. So frequently these rugs are in strong vibrant reds and blues, this is a great opportunity to acquire one in a muted bit equally striking colour. Low pile in some places (see photos), but still in good condition for its age.
