A wonderful near pair of Victorian Toleware tea canisters converted for electric. Both having gold leaf and gilt decoration on a painted faux wood effect ground, one depicting a scene of fruit pickers over the number ‘6’, the other with an oriental scene over the number ‘2’. Paint loss and knocks, but a striking pair of lamps. With tapered burnt terracotta shades.
