A truly spectacular Ferahan carpet from the Mushkabad area of Feraghan, between Saruq and Arak. Of high quality, the deep indigo ground covered with the Herati motif in the traditional manner. Traditionally these rugs are of dark blue and red, with yellow, white and green providing highlights. The main border also decorated with Herati motif, giving the appearance of a number of closely decorated bands. Excellent condition.
